DescriptionBegin your day with a short stop in the village of Panayia, the birthplace of Archbishop Makarios III, the First President of the Republic of Cyprus. Drive through the Cedar Valley up to the Kykkos Monastery, which is the richest in Cyprus. It consists of two courtyards with arcades and magnificent mosaics and is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The monastery is famous for hosting one of the three surviving icons of the Virgin Mary, painted by Saint Lucas. It stands at 1318 meters above sea level and offers magnificent views. Next, drive to the highest mountain in Cyprus, Olympos, at an altitude of 1951 meters. Make a stop at Troodos Square for lunch. On the way back to Paphos, visit one of the most beautiful wine villages in Cyprus, Omodhos. Enjoy the picturesque square with numerous kafenions (coffee shops) and handicraft shops. Here, taste the local delicacies, wines, and spirits whilst walking through the cobbled streets of the village. After your tour, you will be returned to your accommodation.
