Casale Panayiotis

Boutique Hotels Agrotourism Hotels

A heaven of peace and tranquility in one of the most beautiful and unspoiled corners of Cyprus.

A truly beautiful setting for a holiday...

Nestling amidst stunning scenery on the northern slopes of the Troodos mountains is the spa village of Kalopanayiotis and the boutique hotel of Casale Panayiotis which beckons guests to relax and enjoy a memorable time in the mountains be it a long weekend, a midweek break or more.

Casale Panayiotis has a beautiful location overlooking the UNESCO listed monastery of St John Lampadistis. Visitors can explore the monastery and the famous monastery of Kykkos just a few kilometres away and explore the painted churches of the mountains as well as the numerous pretty villages and the summit of the Troodos range, nearby Mount Olympus (1952 metres). There is wonderful wildlife to enjoy either on foot or by bicycle as well as fishing, horse riding and forest trails.

The Troodos mountains have a character of their own whatever time of year you visit and Kalopanayiotis has a long and fascinating history and with such beautiful accommodation that Casale Panayiotis offers, it is no surprise that many guests find that they are drawn back time and again to relax in this lovely little piece of heaven.

The accommodation
All guests are warmly welcomed with traditional Cypriot hospitality and instantly feel at ease as they soak up the relaxing ambience.
Casale Panayiotis offers its guests unique accommodation as each of the 29 rooms was once a village house that has been individually renovated and furnished with old village furnishings and textiles blended with chic modern pieces that offer understated luxury.
The hotel is owned by John Papadouris, a local civil engineering magnate who wanted to regenerate the village he was born in with a new type of agrotourism and his passion for mountain life.

Memorable Dining
Casale Panayiotis has lovely restaurants which serve the best of Cypriot cuisine prepared with locally sourced mountain produce and wild herbs.

The Byzantino Restaurant
Enjoy a candlelit dinner on the veranda or rooftop terrace overlooking the Setrachos river.
The menu offers the very best in Cypriot cuisine, beautifully prepared using local produce and elegantly served. The tempting array of dishes includes local trout, keftedes (meatballs in a herby tomato sauce), koupepia (stuffed vine leaves) and probably the best Moussaka you will ever taste!
Each traditional dish is a delicious blend of ingredients and the island’s history and culture.

Loutraki Restaurant
Loutraki is an elegant boutique restaurant which offers guests great contemporary dining. Loutraki is the Cypriot version of a ‘grill restaurant’ and its menu is straight forward with dishes made simply using the finest ingredients so that their taste can be really enjoyed. There is a selection of ‘Small Plates’ including Feta wrapped in phyllo pastry and drizzled with honey and sautéed mushrooms in Commandaria.

The grill selection includes great steaks, lamb, chicken, pork spare ribs and even goat & Halloumi burgers. There is a selection of ‘Big Plates’ too and these include several vegetarian alternatives. Always leave just a little room for the dessert because the choice is extremely tempting!

Kava
Kava is extremely special as it incorporates a cocktail bar and subterranean dining area adjacent to the wine cellar that is sparkly, chic and the perfect setting for family celebrations and special dinners. Kava is well-stocked with a comprehensive wine selection including many excellent Cypriot wines – some produced just a short distance away.

Myrianthousa Spa
For those who want to truly relax, the Myriantousa Spa as it is fed by the waters of an ancient sulphur spring - Theouxa - that has attracted pilgrims for generations is really the place to be!

The spa has a variety of treatments to enjoy which will ensure that you leave Casale Panayiotis feeling beautifully relaxed and at one with the beautiful mountain nature around you. The treatments are carefully chosen to help you rebalance your body and to tackle particular problems and there is a choice of wellness packages available too – with various special offers available throughout the year.

The spa has a beautiful range of natural products that include local ingredients and Apivita – the Greek ingredient made from a variety of natural Mediterranean plants that are blended with pure essential oils to replenish and to nourish your skin perfectly.
