パフォス中世城
キプロス
パフォス中世城は、カトーパフォスの港の隣に位置し、元々は港を守るためにビザンチン時代に建てられた砦でした。
13世紀にリュジニャン族によって建てられ、1570年にヴェネツィア人によって解体され、16世紀にオスマン帝国によって再建されました。その長い歴史の中で、城は刑務所やイギリスの植民地時代には塩の保管庫としても使用されました。1935年に古代遺跡に指定されました。城の前で多くの文化イベントが開催され、9月のアフロディーテ祭りでは世界的に有名なアーティストたちによるスリリングなオペラが開催されます。
