Portions at Bistrot 55 are generous and many diners choose a variety of dishes for sharing. There are plenty of tempting dishes to choose from – all made with top quality ingredients, flavoured with local herbs and served with panache on different shaped plates, granite and wood platters. The menu was designed and made with the guidance of Chef Giorgos Damianou with a strong belief that food should captivate with both its looks and taste!
The restaurant’s signature brunch dish is the egg and tomato frittata served with vegetables. At lunchtime there are a variety of lighter dishes to enjoy including the popular mini burgers served on ciabatta bread.
For dinner there is a wonderful array of dishes that can be enjoyed with one of Bistrot 55’s classic and contemporary cocktails or a bottle of good wine. Starters include salmon ceviche with cubes of salmon, roasted almonds and lemon confit served on a bed of lettuce in a tall elegant glass, chicken liver parfait perfectly cooked with the accompanying mango sauce complementing its flavour, tasty pork belly served with caramelised onions. Entrées include pan-seared duck breast with vegetable risotto, fabulous lamb rack with lavender and delicious stuffed calamari. Vegetarian options include a creamy pumpkin risotto and a tower made of delicious vegetarian layers of a moussaka. Bistrot 55 is always ready to serve people of any dietary choice by suggesting twists in dishes according to their needs.
The Bistrot 55 team do not omit to offer sweet temptations to end a superb meal. These include the mouthwatering chocolate soufflé and the warm luscious apple crumble; there is the opportunity to enjoy both with a glass of the famous Cypriot dessert wine, Commandaria.
