パナギア・ティス・アンゲロクティス教会は、ラルナカから12キロメートル離れたキティ村の北西端に位置しています。

この11世紀のビザンティン様式の教会は、「天使によって建てられた」という意味の名前を持っており、初期のキリスト教バシリカの遺跡の上に建てられました。オリジナルのアプスは、ユスティニアヌス時代の最高のビザンティン芸術の1つである、聖母子と2人の大天使を描いた珍しい6世紀のモザイクと一緒に残存しています。この時代のモザイクが、多くのアイコンや偶像の破壊を命じる偶像崇拝の禁止令を生き残ったのは、キプロスとシナイ山だけです。同様のモザイクは、現在レフコシア（ニコシア）のビザンチン博物館で展示されているカナカリア教会のものでした。

この教会の建築計画は、ドーム型のクロス・イン・スクエア構造に属しています。現在の形は後の追加と改造の結果です。12世紀には、北部に治癒の聖人アナルギロス、コスマスそしてダミアノスに献堂されたバレルボールト形式のパレクレシ（礼拝堂）が建てられました。
