Zoopigi / Kalo Chorio Villages
Initiate yourself, into the secrets of the World’s first named wine. ZOOPIGI VILLAGE, is located in a zone of 14 villages in Cyprus that produces the ancient sweet wine Commandaria, a protected designation of origin product.
The Commandaria wine museum and winery in Zoopigi village, exhibits through replicas of Cypriot ancient wine vessels and visual means the history of Commandaria, presented along with aspects of everyday life, art and wine culture.
Agros village
In the heart of Pitsilia area, the pictuesque village of Agros, renowned for its dry and healthy climate maintains its traditional character and offers a natural environment of unrivalled beauty.
The rural village was Selected as best destination of Tourism and Local Intangible Heritage for its “Rose Festival” following a national competition, launched as part of a project of the EDEN (European Destinations of Excellence) initiative.
The Rose factory running for 70 years now compliments the surrounding area, and invites us to surrender to a journey paved with roses, and watch the production of a wide variety of products such as rosewater, organic cosmetics and many more!
