救世主の変容の教会

教会と修道院

メタモルフォシス・トゥ・ソティロス教会（救世主の変容）、ユネスコの世界遺産で、パライホリの美しい旧村を見下ろす丘にある16世紀初頭の礼拝堂です。その内部は、キプロスのビザンチン後期の最も完全な連続壁画シリーズの1つで完全に塗装されています。

16世紀初頭に建てられ、トロドス地方の単一の廊下と木製屋根の教会に属しています。17世紀初めに追加されたネフェックスは、教会の西側と南側に広がり、同じ木製の屋根で覆われています。

この小さな孤立した礼拝堂の主な見どころは、16世紀初期に描かれたキリストの生涯のシーンを描いた壁画の連続です。

営業時間：

火曜日と水曜日 10:00-13:00
教会は管理人と事前に手配をして、午後や週末に訪れることができます。
