ニキタリ村に位置し、カコペトリアから北へ約20kmの場所にある教会は、ユネスコによって世界文化遺産として認定されています。パナイア・ティス・アシノウ教会は、ビザンティンおよびビザンティン後期の巨大芸術のさまざまな傾向の見本を保存しており、『フォルビア』の聖母に捧げられています。名前は、紀元前11世紀のギリシャのアシノと呼ばれる都市に由来します。

この教会の名声は非常に高いため、ユーカリや松の木の北向きの丘の上に隠れている小さな教会を見つけることがかなり驚きです。そんな小さな教会の壁画は極めて美しく、キプロスのビザンティン芸術の最高の例の一部であり、教会のすべての壁に描かれています。最古のフレスコ画は12世紀にさかのぼり、数年を経て亡命したアジアマイノル出身の画家によってさらに多くのフレスコ画が追加されました。

平日と土曜日 9:30-16:00（冬季は17:00まで）
日曜日と祝日 10:00-16:00
