Description

This walking trip combines two trails located at high elevations in Cyprus: the Artemis Trail and the Myllomeris Waterfalls Trail. The full route takes up to five hours, excluding extended breaks such as picnics or swimming at the natural pool.

The Artemis Trail is an 8 km (5 miles), flat and easy walk at the highest elevations in Cyprus. It passes through areas dominated by black pines and endemic Troodos junipers and features barren stretches with unique flora. The trail offers wide views across the island, from Limassol to Morphou Bay.

The Myllomeris Waterfalls Trail is a 2.4 km (1.5 miles) return walk at around 1,000 m elevation. It presents a contrasting environment with typical Cypriot valley vegetation, including alder, bracken, maple, golden oaks, strawberry trees, storax, and plane trees with large roots. The trail’s highlight is the 11-meter-tall Myllomeris Waterfall, the tallest in Cyprus, with a small natural pool at its base where some visitors swim, even outside summer months.

Combining these two trails provides varied scenery across an elevation range of 1,000 to 2,000 meters. The experience is private and can be customized to fit participants’ preferences, profiles, and available time.
