This adults-only, small-group tour invites you to explore the spiritual and cultural soul of the highlands, from the revered Kykkos Monastery to the peaceful tomb of Archbishop Makarios III. Your journey begins with a coffee break in a traditional mountain village, offering a taste of local hospitality and scenic tranquility. Next, ascend to Mount Kykkos to visit the iconic Kykkos Monastery. Its ornate interiors, adorned with vivid frescoes and sacred icons, are a feast for the eyes. Discover the legend of the ‘Golden Girl’ icon, mysteriously veiled from view, and enjoy free time to explore the grounds and take in sweeping mountain vistas. Continue to Throni Hill, where the elaborate tomb of Archbishop Makarios III rests amid panoramic views. From here, descend to the charming village of Pedoulas. Enjoy a hearty, locally sourced meal at a family-run taverna, rich in Cypriot flavors and warm hospitality. If you wish, take a short walk to the Orthodox church of the Holy Cross before heading back.
