Kayak in the crystal clear waters to the east of Cape Greco on this private guided tour. Explore the rocky coastline, visit highlights like Konnos beach, and see the Kamara tou Koraka natural arch.
Highlights
- Guided Kayaking along a rugged coast in usually calm clear light blue waters
- Kayak by cycladic Agioi Anargyroi chapel and the nearby cave
- Gaze at Kamara tou Koraka natural arch from the blue waters
- Pause on the western beach at Konnos bay, near a spot visited by sea turtles
Description
We only use single kayaks (from 2025, sea touring kayaks), and the load on each should be under 120 kg (height under 1.90 m - under 1.85 m preferred).
We start from close to Green Bay beach and initially kayak south just outside Cape Greco until we reach the tip of Konnos Bay. If travellers prefer we can have a break at the western beach of the Bay. We continue south past Agioi Anargyroi (chapel and) cave and reach south as far as 'Kamara tou Koraka' ('Crow's arch') natural bridge. We then return back in the opposite direction via Agioi Anargyroi, exploring more of the coastline upto the north end of Konnos beach. If the sea is calm (it very often is during the summer season), it is highly recommended that travellers also do some snorkeling (if customers like to - there are very good possibilities of spotting sea turtles either in Konnos beach or just north of Green bay).
Guiding starts at the time that the guide meets the travellers, normally close to Green Bay. There is the possibility to meet the travellers in other locations, in Ayia Napa, or Protaras. Usually the guide can provide a free ride to the travellers from these places. We may be able to provide a ride from Larnaca (a higher price option, the trip last one more hour).
From 2025 we use sea touring kayaks for our trips. They have many advantages compared to recreational kayaks (faster, more comfortable, perform better when the sea is not very calm, can accept bigger weights). They do have also disadvantages: getting in them is more difficult compared to our sitontops, they are less agile turning less slowly, kayakers height should be under 1.90 meters, preferably under 1.85 meters for a comfortable ride.
Includes
Guiding for the trip
The use of equipment (sea touring kayak for one person, paddle, personal flotation device, dry bag).
No transportation is included, however usually the guide is able to offer a free ride from an agreed location (in Protaras, Ayia Napa). Free pickup from Larnaca necessitates a 6-hour option.
Important Information
- Please keep in mind that while we do provide things like a dry bag, travellers should be clear that they would possibly get wet and they should not bring along things that would be damaged by salt water.
Our sea touring kayaks are light, 21 kilograms each and can go relatively fast, depending also on the weight on them. There is some storage place in them. At the same time, people should keep in mind that increasing the weight on the sea kayaking, increases the work they would need to do to move the kayak forward.
In case of forecasted choppy sea, instead we kayak to Cape Greco Sea Caves cove or along Agia Napa Sea Caves (if the weather is expected to be bad everywhere, we cancel the trip).
