Porfyrios is the only guest house in the hillside village of Choirokoitia. The two-story stone-built property with its traditional architecture, décor, and blossoming greenery revives the spirit and atmosphere of bygone days.
Porfyrios Country House is located in the village of Choirokoitia, Cyprus, within six kilometres of the Neolithic settlement of Tenta Kalavassos and 10 kilometres from the beach.
Porfyrios Country House is set in a two storey stone cottage style property that surrounds and overlooks a private courtyard with a pool and sunbathing deck dotted with sun chairs and umbrellas.
The Porfyrios Country House is a self catering residence. Guests receive a complimentary food pack on arrival. Meals may be eaten al fresco in the courtyard during fine weather.
There are six fully serviced one bedroom suites at Porfyrios Country House, all decorated in modern style, complemented by antique furniture and rustic architectural features. All are air conditioned and extend to balconies overlooking the courtyard and pool. Amenities include fully equipped kitchens, satellite television, safes and showers.
Expert Tip. The village of Choirokoitia is an archaeological landmark and the site of a Neolithic settlement, offering a glimpse of a world that existed approximately 9,000 years ago. The site is only partly recovered, and archaeological work is still ongoing.
