The story of Zambartas Wines started in 2006 with a timid production of 4500 bottles. Since then Akis Zambartas and son Marcos kept the faith that Cyprus has the potential to produce wines of international class. Today, they have reached 2014 with 55,000 bottles of Zambartas wines which are enjoyed by locals and visitors from all over the world.
The winery is located in Agios Amvrosios village, in the hills of the southern slope of the Troodos Mountain range which form the heart of the Cyprus wine regions. Agios Amvrosios is situated in the wine villages of Limassol. The village still breaths the old Cyprus of donkeys, cafes and small streets. The winery is built south-west of the village, on a beautiful slope, overlooking the hills.
