洞窟は、愛の女神アフロディーテが入浴していた場所と言われています。神話によると、アフロディーテが美青年アドニスに出会ったのはここで、アドニスが狩りの途中で喉を潤すために立ち寄ったときでした。

水浴びをすると永遠の若さを手に入れるか、次に見る人に惹かれると言われていますが、残念ながら水浴びは許可されていません。
