アイギオス・キプリアノス教会

メニコの旧市街の中心部にあるアイギオス・キプリアノスとアギア・イオウスティニにささげられた教会です。

この教会は、ドーム型のアーチや聖具を持つバシリカ様式で、特に見事な鐘楼が特徴です。数世紀にわたって、アイギオス・キプリアノスとアギア・イオウスティニ教会でいくつかの改修工事が行われ、元の形態が変更されています。

10月2日は、アイギオス・キプリアノスとアギア・イオウスティニの聖名祝いであり、キプリアノスとイオウスティニから全国各地の信者たちがメニコにやってきます。その日、キプリアノスとイオウスティニ聖人の奇跡の効力のため、キプリアノス教会とイオウスティニは海外からも信者を引き付けます。キプリアノス聖人は呪いを解いたり悪霊から人々を救うことで知られています。

教会の内部には、1818年にさかのぼる木製のイコノスタシスが飾られています。イコノスタシスの隣には、教会の南壁にアイギオス・キプリアノスとアギア・イオウスティニの美しい聖画が描かれています。
