Markos Fish Restaurant

Situated in the traditional fishing harbour of Ayia Napa, Markos Fish Tavern is one of the oldest restaurants as it was established in 1965 when Ayia Napa was just beginning to change from a sleepy fishing village into one of Europe's top holiday resorts with the highest concentration of Blue Flag beaches.

There is a warm welcome awaiting guests to the tavern. For wonderful al fresco dining in the summer months there is the terrace overlooking the harbour with its cool shady pergola and in the winter there is the lovely inside restaurant which is traditionally styled in a mellow combination of wood and stone with cheerful blue checked tablecloths and traditional village-style chairs.

Markos Fish Tavern offers a wide variety of fish dishes including traditional fish mezé and there are plenty of meat options grilled to perfection over the coals with a good sprinkling of local herbs. There are other local specialities on the menu too. As well as being family-run, the tavern welcomes families too and whilst parents can relax with a cold drink, their children can enjoy the special playground with its five different games.

As well as offering tasty food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the tavern is the perfect setting for family celebrations too - especially for weddings there is a special dedicated place in the restaurant that has been approved by the municipality for wedding ceremonies.
