Description
Begin your journey with a drive to Nicosia, the capital city of Cyprus. Enjoy some free time to explore the Walled Old Town Center, stroll up to the “Green Line” — the border that divides Nicosia into two since the Turkish invasion in 1974 — or relax with a coffee break.
Next, head towards the Troodos Mountains, stopping at the well-preserved village of Kakopetria. Walk around the quaint village, known for its running waters and mini waterfall, and mingle with the friendly locals.
Continue to the peak of the Troodos Mountains, where the forest stretches as far as the eye can see. Stop at Troodos Square, the highest point of the mountains, and enjoy free time for lunch (optional extra). Situated right in the heart of the island, this location offers some of the most breathtaking views in Cyprus.
Following lunch, visit the beautiful traditional village of Omodos. Built around the Holy Cross monastery, one of the oldest and most sacred monasteries on the island, Omodos is a famous wine-producing village. Enjoy free time to visit small shops, taste and buy some of the best local Cypriot wine, and discover other handmade products.
