• Only European Union citizens can use National Identity Cards for crossing; others must have a passport.
• Citizens of Armenia, Syria, Nigeria, Turkmenistan, Bangladesh, India, and Nepal cannot cross the border without a special visa.
• Ukrainian citizens with refugee status in Cyprus cannot cross the checkpoint.
• Greek citizens with old handwritten National Identity Cards must use the new ID card or passport to cross.
