Description
The tour begins by crossing into northern Cyprus, approaching the restricted ghost town area. You will enter the accessible section of Varosha to walk through the abandoned city and along its sandy beach, once a popular recreational spot.
Next, the ancient city-kingdom of Salamis offers the chance to explore archaeological ruins, enjoy scenic views, or swim during summer months.
An optional visit to the Tomb of Saint Barnabas follows, honoring the Apostle who introduced Christianity to Cyprus. You may also explore the nearby monastery dedicated to him.
The day concludes with time in Famagusta's old town, encircled by Venetian walls. Photograph landmarks, browse shops, or relax at a café. Don’t miss Othello’s Tower for panoramic views.
