Description

Your experience begins at the winery, where you will meet your professional winemaker and wine taster guide before starting your journey into the world of Cyprus wine. The complete experience lasts approximately four hours, giving you plenty of time to explore the vineyard, winery, cellar and tasting experience at a relaxed pace. We begin in the vineyard, where you will discover how vines are grown and managed, how grapes develop and ripen, and how climate, soil, grape variety, harvest timing and decisions made in the vineyard ultimately influence the wine in your glass. This is the starting point of the winemaking journey and an important part of understanding why every wine begins with the quality of the grape. We then go behind the scenes into working areas of the winery normally unseen by casual visitors. Follow the journey from freshly harvested grapes through crushing, pressing and fermentation, while seeing the machinery, tanks and equipment used throughout the winemaking process. Your guide will explain what is happening at each stage and the decisions that shape the final style and quality of the wine. During the September and October winemaking season, our exclusive access becomes particularly special. When production is taking place during your visit, you can enter the working production areas and witness winemaking happening live, with each stage explained by a professional winemaker as it happens around you. From fermentation, we move into maturation and wine keeping. Discover how wines develop after fermentation, the differences between tanks and barrels, the influence of oak and time, and the decisions a winemaker makes before a wine is ready for bottling and release. Finally, bring everything together with a professionally guided wine tasting, accompanied by a platter of Cyprus cheeses and cold cuts. Learn how to properly examine, smell and taste wine, recognise its important characteristics and better understand what is in your glass. There will also be time to browse the winery shop, purchase wines if you wish and relax in the winery surroundings. At the end of the visit, we leave the winery and drive you back to Limassol, returning you to the designated drop-off locations. The full experience is designed as a relaxed but in-depth journey from vineyard to bottle, combining transport, exclusive winery access, professional guidance, practical wine education and tasting in one complete day.
