Over 1,500 runners are expected to participate in the upcoming event, which takes place on 6th March 2016, through the streets of historic Pafos. The next Logicom Cyprus Marathon has been set for March 6th 2016, a Sunday, and will start by 7:30 AM. The international stream of runners of all ages and abilities will set off from the scenic Petra tou Romiou (Aphrodite’s Birthplace) and finish strong at the historic Pafos Medieval Fort Square. It is the 18th time that the most historic and oldest Marathon in Cyprus takes place and with Logicom as a strong supporter, therefore developing into an important sporting event of the highest standards. The race offers both, residents and visitors, an opportunity to engage in sporting activity, experience the city from another perspective and share the overall sense of optimism offered by the sport of Marathon running. So good luck to all participants in this year’s event, a celebration of noble competition, the city’s international outlook and solidarity, as, besides other matters, the Cyprus Marathon bolsters social activities offered by the municipality. And may all runners keep in mind that participation is more important than performace. Parallel events to the Marathon include a Half-Marathon, a 10km road race as well as a 5 km Fun Run!
