Lefkara is the village, which according to legend, Leonardo da Vinci visited in 1481, and purchased a lace cloth for the main altar of the Duomo di Milano. The lefkaritika style was probably imported to the village from antiquity from Assyria. Much later, the Venetians look it home, and set up their own lace industry on the island of Buraro. In 1889 a local lace school was opened, and Lefkara lace regained much of it's ancient renown.
Kozakos House opens its doors once again for visitors ready to experience the once in a life time experience of a historical and typical village of the Larnaca Mountain area, the beautiful Lefkara. The house was recently fully renovated, under the strict supervision of the Cyprus Department of Antiquities, with care and respect to traditional architecture, as well as, lots of love and enthusiasm and now awaits to offer its services to all visitors.
Built in the beginning of last century (1918), this stunning house is located at the highest point of the village, and enjoys the beautiful view offered by the nature of the surrounding area.
