Great Italian with a twist!

If you enjoy good Italian food and you are in the capital, head for Oxi Square as close by there is a great Italian Restaurant that is more than generous with its helpings of great Italian food!

Manolito is a great place for meeting friends and catching up on news over a tasty pizza or plate of pasta. You can relax outside at a table under the leafy canopy which is on the pavement but diners soon become oblivious to passing cars! The inside part of the restaurant is situated in a lovely old building that has been lovingly restored. The wooden ceilings are high and the walls are creamy white with pale blue paintwork and the tables and chars are wooden. Strung above the heads of diners are strings of chillies and cloves and bunches of freshly picked herbs interspersed with green lanterns whilst the floor is the original tiled one that is well worth a glance! Various decorations including an old push bike create a warm ambience that is reminiscent of Tuscany!

The food at Manolitos is great but you have to be warned - portions are sizeable so consider sharing a starter! One that is to be recommended is the smoked turkey and cottage cheese salad whilst the most popular on the menu has the winning combination of avocado and sweetcorn.

The pizzas are impressive with semi-thick crusts cooked to perfection and sprinkled with sesame. There are 13 different toppings including a vegetable option and the Manolito special incorporates cheese, pepperoni and bacon. All the pizzas are freshly cooked and arrive at your table sizzling hot. If you prefer there is an array of different pasta dishes with both tomato and cream sauces and for risotto fans there are three different varieties - each one perfectly cooked and perfectly creamy!

If you fancy a snack rather than a meal there are great sandwiches and submarines to choose from too and if you haven't got time to enjoy the relaxing and friendly atmosphere at Manolitos - which sometimes includes live music too - there is an efficient take away service too!
